I am leaving and very glad

It has been horrible. My wraparound balcony for which I paid more, was condemned the entire fall, and when they finished "renovating", there were such huge cracks I was afraid to sit on the balcony. Somebody broke in frequently, would leave fleas and the most awful dirt in the bedroom/bathroom, and take what VERY few nice things I had, on a regular basis. The management in the office was changed at least 3, maybe 5 times in a year, and each was worse than the last. The alarms are set off regularly by people who come into the weight room, apparently from the nearby Section 8 housing. Management is spending money ripping out a lovely tree to put a chintzy facade over the front door (some cheap wood blocks covered over) but they can't fix the garage doors which stay open, so your car is vandalized; one person lost a motorbike, it was rumored, and another couldn't even move their couch upstairs before someone took it. There is a security guard living here who says the police come down the street every night every 3 hours because the crime is so bad. But I have not been even approached on the street, except for a couple of panhandlers, but inside the Summit, regular crime. There are people who have lived here many years who say that the building was bought a couple of years ago by management who really haven't a clue and just want to flip the building, but before that, it was a nice place to live. Management makes all the difference; if you say, uh, ther is no paper in the computer downstairs, instead of its appearing, someone will off-handedly tell you to come upstairs and get it yourself. There isn't a scrap in the printer tonight. (But I do see people take it--they hate hate management that much). They are running an alleged $10,000 lottery just to get people in the door. You know what that means; nobody wants to pay these prices to live with unhelpful staff and crime. As to the largely advertised "new" interiors including "new"appliances, they look new, yes, but they don't actually work a lot of the time. No, I lie, the fridge was fine. But the washer/dryer combo malfunctioned often, and the toilet often just didn;t manage to flush...all in all, people, please stay away until they manage to sell to a good company, if they ever do manage. Inthis economy, you can do better, easily.
