The new management company Riverstone Residential Group is HORRENDOUS. Best of luck getting a maintenance issue resolved. Back in March my heat broke and it took the office more than two days to get someone out to fix it. You have to call a 1-800 number to put in a work order and it seems there is a major disconnect between placing the work order and the office staff doing something about it. When Archstone managed these apartments someone was out in less than 24 hours fixing any and all problems. As I type this I am in my apartment that is 80 plus degrees. My AC is broke and it has been this way for a while. I have called the 1-800 number and the office to report the problem, no one seems to care.
Also, during the winter ice storm the parking lots were covered in ice for weeks at a time. Not once did someone come out and try to clear the parking spaces. I almost broke my ankle several times.
The office hours are also horrible. During the week they are open from 10-6. Are you kidding me'''' Do they think people get home by 6:00 around here'
I wouldn't want my worst enemy to have to live here and deal with the Riverstone Residential Group. If I were you I would look elsewhere.

It appears that management is continuously upgrading the community; upgrading the pool area with new furniture and paint, new renovated apartments-many great things to make the community better for all of us. It's a shame that can't be appreciated by my fellow neighbors, and must post a derogatory comment. Have you ever owned a house? Had your a/c or heat go out and then tried to call a company to fix it...best be that this company responds within a week... I'm sure you would complain anyways, about something else, anything else-wouldn't matter as long as it puts down 'this' company; but I for one am OK with 'this' company. I just signed a new 12 month contract with about a $90 increase in rent. For other Sussex Commons residents: be patient, you know it's a great community! Too bad we all have to rely on contractor's at some point in our lives!

I agree, with the reviewer, all these new upgrades come at price. Wait until you see the rent increases for these upgrades. I don't really care about amenities, just keep up the maintenance and the grounds and I'm happy. For instance, the buildings need power washing and painting.
