I am hoping that by posting this here they may actually come to fix the leaking ceiling that's been leaking for a year! Calling, e-mailing, stopping by in person doesn t seem to do much but since the only hope for the aventine to succeed is to acquire new tenants, they probably pay more attention to this board than to their maintenance request. We are living in what is considered a remodeled townhouse (2825 Park Center Dr.) and pay a premium to do so. The ceiling in the living room has had water damage since the first rain storm we endured living here. We reported it and reported it and reported it and then they came and painted over the stain they had actually sadi they fixed the roof leak too so it shouldn t have ever leaked again. It wasn't the eyesore bothering us, it was the inevitable mold living in the ceiling/roof cavity above it that bothered us and the fact that the roof would continue to leak and water stain would continue to come back and it did. After about 3 weeks of living here we all started getting sick and then sick again and again and it lasted from dec 2006 - march 2007. At least a dozen Dr.'s visits and a couple dozen prescriptions for every allergy and asthma medication that existed. One of the Dr. s told me the only way I d get better would be to move. Later we did our own mold test and discovered high levels of mold and told maintenance and they brushed it off. Here we are on our last leg of our stay and the ceiling is now dripping! Called a couple hours ago and no on has come, called earlier this week as the leak started no one came. So what happens when the roof caves'

Although the townhouses are the worst (effectively unlivable) the entire complex suffers from mold. All the black stuff you see in the bathrooms and especially the a/c or shower vents is mold, not dirt. A good mold cleaner will kill it for a few days, but it keeps coming back. If you have any allergies to mold, stay away!

i was considering renting a townhouse because i was told and can see construction going on, please tell more about the condition of the townhomes and your experience there. have you seen a difference since new owners and management. thanks
