The only way management will react to anything is if you get the city involved. For issues with missing fire doors and rodents, contact the Fire Inspector. They will come out and inspect the building and cite management if there are constant violations. Working with management is a waste of time. In the meantime, I suggest looking for another place to live in 2008. This place seems to be doomed for failure. Ask yourself when was the last time you saw anything rennovated' Management is not putting any money into fixing the infrastructure. What good is a rennovated apartment if everything around you is falling apart, dirty, infested, and unheathly.

The thing with the missing fire door near the elevator lobby really sucks since it's letting all the warm air out of the lobby. The Heat/Cool portion of our utility bill is determined by taking the actual gas bill for the month and dividing it by the number of tenants. So we take the hit for a door that's been missing now for over 2 months and we take the hit for them not being able to keep the building full. Why does it take 4 months to fully turn over each vacancy? I've seen the little bit of work they are calling remodel and it doesn't seem like it should take 4 months to put in a new kitchen, new doors, new floors and light fixtures. The last house I bought took the builder almost 4 months to build from scratch.

I was considering moving there after tourning the property and saw the remodeling/construction beginning and the kindness of the leasing staff. Obviously you're saying the construction is on the surface/esthetics? Do you still live there and have you noticed any changes?
