It was lame living here. Huge apartment, but more space than we needed.
Maintenence was slow to respond. Staff wasn't all that with it. Dogs in the halls all the time. Buisness center printer always out of ink. etc.

Old owners have been gone for over two years now, No excuses. Knock it down and re-build.

I am thinking of moving there because of location, amenities, and rent incentive. Did you experience mold, leaking, roaches, rats? Was the availability of heat and air and hot water when you felt you needed it? I understand they control when each of these utilites are turned on and off.

Yeah- when it's blazing hot outside (or cold) and they won't turn on the air (or heat) you'll wish you moved into a newer building. We had tiny tiny ants in our kitchen several times, spiders, normal stuff like that. I never saw rats, but, wouldn't be suprised. They do shut off the water for days at a time with VERY LITTLE warning. They are giving away free rent b/c they don't have a good product.

I think management is trying to turn things around.
First up is the parking garage which is most in need of new work. It will make a hash of parking during the period, but getting the floor done is a priority.
Most of the rest of recent comments seem to fall in the variety of failed expectations. But this is a huge complex and it does take time to fix the manny things left over from the two previous owners.
ADDENDUM to Questions
Yes mold, especially in the bathroom is a problem, but a good mold spray will fix it. I never had a problem with rats, but I live high up.
Ants and roaches have been problems in the past, but they appear to have been cleaned up. I suspect some nests were disturbed during various construction phases which caused the problems. But the building probably should be gutted since water problems continue. Yes, like most high-rises, they control the HVAC cycle, but that is mosly a problem during the few weeks during turnover between Heating/Cooling seasons. Unless you live in the apartment all day, opening the windows usually fixes the problem.
