I could not care less what people do within their own apartment. However, I am beyond tired of having to breath in your pot smoke several times each week. Twice on Saturday' Seriously! You may not be aware that this is affecting others, but is comes right in my heat/ac vents and lingers around in my apartment. I have children and I wonder if this is damaging to their developing brains and lungs. Please get a fan and sit next to it at your window....I know they are sealed due to construction, but it is painter's tape, I think you can open it if you wanted to.

I don't want to , but I have to begin calling Alexandria PD each and every time I smell it. If I annoy them enough, maybe they will take an interest. Just so you will know, the odor of burnt Marijuana IS probable cause....

I'm hoping the A/C will be better this year with the replacement of the windows. I slept on the couch a lot last summer since it's the coolest room of the place not looking forward to couch sleeping again.

HVAC here is a closed system in each apartment unless maybe you are in the townhouses. There is no outside air for you to smell. You may have air coming in through the kitchen vents or from leaks in the patio or front door, but not the HVAC. It took six months of complaints, but they seem to have the new HVAC working adequately in my place.

Wrong pca1990! the system is dedicated to each apartment but there is an 8" x 12" hole in the concrete floor of each apartment just behind the convector units to allow the passage of the water pipes that travel up and down. Our neighbor below us cooks a lot of sausage I know it's not the one neighbor beside us because it started while that unit was empty and it took them about 8 months to remodel that unit, don't smell it in the hall either till I go downstairs then Violla! When they did my convector units I could see into the apartment below and in the apartment above this is an easy space for apartments to share odors and give off the impression that the odor is coming from the convectors themselves. So yes dedicated system per apartment but to use the word sealed is such a stretch!
