As a resident at seminary forest for about 4 years now, I need to set some things straight and point out the facts. I inquired with the employees of dreyfuss for several months when I heard that new owners were coming in, they never once told me or anyone else that asked that seminary was going condo. At first they claimed that all the talk were just rumors and that they didn't know what everyone was talking about. They then told everyone that the property was not sold, but a contract was pending, finally when asked if the property was going to turn condo, they said and I quote "we do not know what the new owners will do, once they buy the property they can do whatever they want with it, they could turn condo or they could renovate the apartments and make them luxury apartments, who knows, the contract may not even go through." So as far as the previous staff telling residents that the property was turning condo... that is simply not true. What is the truth is that the new company CAN and WILL do with the property as it wishes. As far as the parking situation, there simply just aren't enough spaces for all the residents who live here, Alexandria as a city has a parking and traffic problem and the solution will not come from Seminary Forest. I am a happy resident here, I just hope that the $50-$200 rent increases that everyone has received will go towards making each and every apartment better ie. washers, dryers, new appliances, fitness center etc., if not I doubt that many residents will stay. Why pay more for less' I don't have any complaints about the previous office or maintenance staff, nor do I have a complaint the new staff other than the new young lady who hung up on me when she thought that the conversation was over and did not fully answer my questions. It is too early to know if that is the way the staff will always respond and communicate with the residents. I hate to move from here because it is so convenient and I am comfortable, but things aren't looking as great as Bonaventure is trying to portray to us.

The apartments are run down and need much repair and upgrades. The management staff needs many courses on customer services and authentic leadershipl I would not recommend the property nor the abuse from the staff.
