Worst place I've ever lived by a VERY LONG shot!

Years at this apartment: 2006 - 2007
From the day I moved in to the day I moved out I had problems.
1 - Applied and was approved for a 6 month lease and the day I was supposed to move in I was presented a four month lease to sign. Had to wait an additional 5 days (and sleep on friends' couches) while they prepared the apartment I had actually applied for.
2 - They had almost redeemed themselves because I fought and was told by the leasing agent that they would waive the $350 move-in fee since my apartment was not available when promised. But then the assistant property manager called and said "better pay". Said she would evict me if I didn't. I said I had it in writing from someone else on the staff, so bam, she was screwed because I was smart enough to get it in writing.
3 - Heat was shut off for maintenance during the middle of February. The sign indicated it would be off from 9am to 5pm. I called emergency maintenance at 7pm but did not get a response. I was calling hotels looking for a cheap place to stay at 11pm when it finally kicked on. It was 45 degrees!!!! In addition, the heat broke at least 3 more times and again, emergency maintenance did not respond to our pohone calls so all of the residents (including myself) were not sure if we should be looking for a hotel or whether they were working on it.
4 - The AC broke at least 5 times in July (thank the Lord I was outta there by July 31st so I don't know how many more times it broke during the summer, but moving out was fun when it was 90 degrees out and the AC was broken). OK, so you think, sometimes these things happen, but we found out that it kept breaking because they had not replaced the surge protector that had broken 2 years prior because they knew they were going to renovate. I felt sorry for maintenance who had to keep coming to work after hours to fix the AC (again...).
5 - OK, so I called maintenance when my AC is out. Twice they come and feel air coming out of the vent and say it's fine. I say, no, it's not fine becuase it's just blowing out air, not cool air. It's 85 degrees in here! I was left in the heat, but at least it was fixed the next day those times. Thank God for small favors!
6 - The faucet in my bath tub leaked for several months. I reported it when I first moved in, but it wasn't fixed and it was a VERY slow leak so I let it go. After a few months, it was really leaking. It wasn't bothering me, but it was a waste of water. I called again; nothing. Finally, the leak was bad enough that it kept me up at night. The assistant property manager guaranteed me that it would be fixed that very day (we talked at about 10am that morning). Not surprisingly, it was not fixed when I got home from work and they were closed. Talked to the same assistant property manager the next day and she said it would be fixed that day. Believe it or not, it was!
7 - Moving time finally arrived! I gave them a 45-day notice (only 30 days was required). I was told I would receive verification of receipt of this within 3-5 business days. About 4 weeks later I finally got verification. If I had only given them a 30 day notice (as required), I would have received verification of receipt of my notice just a few days before my scheduled departure.
There's more to tell, but quite frankly, I'm tired of typing. This place was the worst place I've ever lived. Not only were the apartments just nasty (and yes, I'm sure the new ones are nice, but they're overpriced. If you're even tempted, keep searching. You'll find just as nice of an apartment for less!), but the staff was the worst staff I've ever had to deal with. I'm not sure that they've ever heard the term "customer service". So glad to be outta there.
Best of luck to you if you're already stuck in a lease there.
