Overpriced apartments with nasty neighbors

These "luxury" apartments are no more than new drywall and carpet with "stainless" (aka plastic painted silver) appliances.
When I moved in the complex was looking for renters and had great incentives (2 months free rent) that made this move both reasonable and a good idea. Since then, rates have increased and the conditions have decreased to the point that I won t renew my lease.
For those who would pay the $1450 for a one bedroom, think again. The construction is shoddy at best - the paint is so thin I can't use a Magic Eraser; the carpet is easily stained; the trash gets so piled up that our neighbors leave it to sit outside the dumpster (a nasty Sunday morning sight); and one of my wonderful neighbors smokes pot on his patio.
Besides the balconies full of moving boxes, bathroom fixtures that continue to break, and required weekly visits from maintenance there is not much more to say.
Yes, everything is new and you are likely to move into a brand new space, but these headaches are not worth it. You can find quality apartments which have better construction and upkeep with same amenities I am already looking.
My review has nothing to do with the great people who work at the Encore as I appreciate all that they do. Judy and Eddie have been great and are very responsive - living here it is clear that these issues are beyond their control.
