I moved here a couple of months ago from Los Angeles, and the Encore is a dream come true! That sounds kind of cheesy, but it really is. I had one weekend, several months before moving, to do a speed check of places in the area to find where I might like to move. All of the places I found were very close to the same price but look completely run down compared to the Encore. Not to mention, the deals at the Encore are great! For a 2 bedroom/2 bathroom BEAUTIFUL apartment home, I am paying the same as for a tiny, very basic one bedroom apartment in Los Angeles (and the same as friends are paying for one bedroom basement apartments in DC).

The office staff is so friendly! If you go in hassling them, trying to run them around, and forcing some ridiculous deal, of course you are going to think they are not so friendly. However, if you treat them as real people as they deserve and work with them together, rather than bossing them around, you will see how terrific they really are! They are so great that they even reserved an apartment for me for several months until I could move at the same discounted rate as was offered at the time.

I moved into a newly renovated building, and I have had no problems. Nothing has chipped, cracked, fallen apart, stained, or anything. As another reviewer said... if you take care of your things, there will be no problem (it only makes sense). And everything in the apartment is top of the line.

The pet policy is fantastic, as is parking, and the gym. Each apartment also has its own washer/dryer and 24 hour maintenance, as well as onsite security (not to mention building security too!).

The bottom line is this... there is nothing to take from the bad reviews of this place. I was actually nervous before moving here because of all of the crazy reviews I read, and they made me think maybe it seemed too good to be true. However, it's important to remember that some people like to complain. Some people don't know how to take care of their things. Some people don't know how to treat other people right. If you actually have common sense and are just looking for a nice place to live for an extremely fair price, I would only recommend the Encore.

YES, all the bad reviews are true! Just because you were one of the only people who didnt have a bad experience or 20, doesnt mean the reviews arent true! THEY ARE PEOPLE! ALL OF THEM!! THE ENCORE SUCKS!
