Major problems ahead. Not worth the rent.

The Jefferson at Van Dorn leasing office turnover is high and service is low. I have had to call Trammell Crow headquarters, as well as Fairfax police, to fix problems the leasing office could or would not.
My apartment has had so many water problems, the ceiling had to be torn out and replaced in different places.
There are RATS, not mice, but RATS in building 5934. Whenever I stand on the patio at night, I see them crossing the parking lot. Make no mistake about what they are (not another animal). I have called Fairfax County Health Department about the rat problem several times. The Jefferson denies their existence.
The water bill is a ridiculous addition to the many utility bills to live here. The majority of apartments in Northern Virginia at MOST have residents pay power, gas and phone. Not the Jefferson. You have all of these utilities PLUS water (plus a high rent).
If you move in between May and September (peak renting months), don't expect the "Save up to $3,000 a year in rent" deal that is advertised right now on the sign hanging next to our building! However, your apartment is going for 2/3 the price you pay if you lease during the winter months.
Finally, the walls/ceilings are paper-thin. I can hear when the apartment above me wakes up, uses the restroom, turns on the shower, and moves room-to-room.
