you can do better

The proximity to the metro is deceiving. You have to cross a huge 6 lane intersection and walk under the beltway. While I was there they added water as a cost you have to pay. The pool has limited hours. The exercise room is ridiculously small. The ?business center? is only open when their office is open -- which if you work in the District it will always be closed when you get home. The same problem exists for picking up packages -- I usually have to wait until the weekend to pick them up because they close so early. I had an off-hour emergency and called and reported that I needed help, the person told me someone would call me back and then be over to help -- I NEVER heard from anyone -- I finally fixed the problem myself. They may off you $$ off the listed rent -- but that?s just a gimmick and they have some slimy ways of making you pay the full rent price. You can hear EVERYTHING that goes on in the apartments above you and below you -- not just the occasional plumbing, either -- I could sing along with my neighbors? radio if I wanted. I made a quick decision on where to rent -- moving here from out of the area. I quickly realized that I could have done better for the money I was spending. I haven?t noticed the rats that the other person mentioned, but I live in a different building. If I were you - I?d keep looking.
