I get about 5 min worth of hot water every day....so shower fast! If you plan on buying this property, overall, it's not worth it

The reply from "spacejunkie" is obviously someone who works for the Ridgeleigh. The apartments are ridiculously overpriced and they're not selling very well, so the owners are trying desperately to entice the current renters to buy.

It is nice to hear that I am not the only one haveing issues with the hot water, since this is the 4th post I've read about it. I had maintenance come at least 5-6 times to try and fix the problem, and they can't. They say it is fine and they refuse to call in an HVAC contractor who may actually know what they are doing. I finally gave up b/c the weather got warmer so it became less of an issue, but I know I am going to have the same problem this fall/winter.

Hi, I'm a young professional just starting out on my own and I'm about to move to the DC area and i'm trying to find an apt. I'm willing to spend up to 1,120 for rent, so do you think the ridgleigh would be a good place for some one like me? Also, I'm looking for 1bed/1bath with a washer and dryer in the apt in a safe area. I will be working in Mclean, though. Do you guys have any suggestions for good rentals?

The location is really a prime here, but it is also true that the place looks pretty much abandoned. I feel for new owners, they bought on a peak, only idiots they can lure in buying their condos (though I am sure they have long enough pockets to survive few years of uncertainty), but still, they should try to keep place decent if they want any success at all. I personally did not have problems as others (being also a handyman), except for the parking before hands change and resulting reduced population, also living alone in two bedroom with a huge waterheater I can't complain about hot water, but I agree with others that the maintenance is stressed out and not up to the challenge. Also it's quite inconvenient to pay rent nowdays - even while the management staff is the same guy, for some reason they don't want him to collect rental checks, causing problems for many. I love the location but plan to move as soon as my contract expires, because an overall feeling here is unsettling.
