When I first started looking into apartments after leaving Foxwood Place in Alexandria, The Ridgeleigh appeared to be a suitable place to call home. However, there have been many issues that have soured me to this property. First, upon move-in, the apartment was not cleaned or painted, despite what was stated. Then, it took a month for my rent check to be cashed. The main issues that I have with this property is the reaction time of maintenance. An empty apartment was flooding one night, and I called the emergency maintenance number, as water was flowing from under the door. They 'took a message' and someone came and resolved the problem during business hours, which led me to wonder how my 'emergency' would be handled. The lights were out in the entry way of my building for a full week and a half, and the step has been broken for a month and a half, with no sign of being fixed. This apartment is not the worst that I've dealt with, but it leaves a lot to be desired, especially considering the amount of money that I am paying a month.
