I have been a resident of the Ridgeleigh for far too long. This place has gone straight down hill since they have had several turn-overs of management. The fitness center has no electricity; the fire alarm there has been going off for 3 weeks and management chooses to ignore it. There are broken down cars all over the property. There is one that has a broken window and no tires or wheels! They were obviously stolen. The place is noisy. There is trash all over the place, including condoms and broken beer bottles. There are apartments that have been vacant for years, yes years, and have pet feces all over the place. The free shuttle to the metro is a joke and is just an amenity for residents of the surrounding condo communities to use for free. Of course, you can't point this out to the shuttle driver because he doesn't speak a lick of English! In my first two years at the Ridgeleigh, I NEVER ONCE saw a police officer. They are now responding here on a regular basis. This place is terrible in every aspect. The unregistered, broken down cars take up the few parking places available. Do yourself a favor and stay baway. You can live in an apartment of the same quality in Suitland, MD and only pay about 500 bucks.
