Hi i am planning to move into Millbrook ..
I have a baby and i want to know how the apartments are
I mean safety and apartment quality (carpets , heater sytem etc ) vise .
Can anyone who live in Millbrook tell me how the apartments are ..
I am planning to move to 2 bedroom , 900 Sqft one.

I can't speak for the apartments, but I live in a 2 bedroom w/den townhome and love it. Maintenance responds quickly to requests and the office staff is very friendly and helpful. The neighborhood is very quiet. The only police sirens/ambulance sirens you will hear might pass by occasionally on Beauregard Street outside of the gates. This community is very convenient and everyone who lives here is friendly. The neighborhood is always clean and actually feels like one of those old fashioned small towns. My husband, sons and I love it. Although, one note of caution guest parking can be a problem at times, but guests can always park just across the street in the shopping center lot if they are unable to find a visitor spot. All in all this place is a peaceful and safe haven from the city surrounding it. By the way, the Winkler Wildlife Preserve is located behind the community which has a wonderful nature trail and a lake.

I can't speak for the apartments, but the townhomes are SHODDY! Yes, the community looks nice and maintenance comes when called. Whether they fix the problem is another story. I don't completely disagree with the other response, but keep in mind that construction, HVAC system and fixtures (if any--see kitchen cabinets) are the cheapest junk available. Don't believe the "luxury" bit.

Please note that the one end of the Winkler Wildlife Preserve ends in the "Hood", if you know what I mean!

One other thing to keep in mind... I'm not sure about other units but ours is extremely energy INEFFICIENT! I'm in a one bdr with loft (about 800sqft) and have paid up to $300mo in electric, gas and water. Mind you, I'm on travel alot and my boyfriend works from 10am -10pm so I don't understand how our bills get so high. It's hot in our unit during summer months and very cold during winter months.
