The rent is cheap, but you pay for it in other ways. For one thing the insulation is really bad and they refuse to change windows to more efficient types so you'll be choosing between astronomical gas bills or freezing in the winter. The parking situation is very bad if you happen to have visitors, or you come home late at night... there is no visitor parking (except for the small stretch on morgan st. which fills up by 7) I've seen mice from time to time that seem to disappear into the walls, and water/sewage bills are separate so add another 80$ on the rent.

This is why the midrises are much better than the garden apartments -- there's more parking AND all the bills are included in the rent.
