You can't get an apartment over 800 sq ft for under $1300 in the area. There is mainly families & home owners that live near the complex. Meaning LOW crime rate! When we first moved in there was a rodent problem but that was due to unsanitary neighbors and now that they're gone we haven't had that problem (in 2 years). Noise' It again depends on neighbors. The truth of the matter is that it's a good place to live if you're wanting to stay close to DC area and not pay an arm & a leg. Make sure that you ask the staff to place you in an apt with low assigned parking and somewhere close to the front of the complex. My husband and I are not absolutely excited about Avant but also not unbelievably unhappy either. You get what you pay for. Although, I wouldn't suggest purchasing a condo here. Only live here on a temporary basis (maybe 1-4 yrs max).

Purchase a condo?? I'm confused.. these are rentals.. not units for sale...

"There is mainly families & home owners that live near the complex. Meaning LOW crime rate!"-Check out the crime logs...there was just a murder on Nathan Hale Dr. a couple of weeks ago. That would make 3 murders in the AVANT alone in less than 3 years. Not to mention the violent string of rapes and attacks that went on for many months at the end of last year. Then there are the gangs and over population on immigrants. Think again, carry pepper spray and do your research.
