The leasing staff at the Avant are very nice, but once you move in you get a different picture of the place. The newly renovated apartments look nice, but things quickly start to fall apart. I moved into a renovated apartment and within 6 months a closet door had fallen off, the bathroom fan stopped working, the washer broke, two window screens fell out, the doorknob pulled right off the front door, and the a/c barely works in hot weather. You often see rats in the shrubbery and, only since they sprayed for bugs, there is a definite roach problem! The leasing office is open 7 days a week, but the management office, which serves the needs of residents, is only open during the hours most people work. Who wants to take time off work just so they can pick up a package' The only upside is that they are fairly pet-friendly (although they did remove almost all of the pet waste stations for some reason, so the grass can be a minefield). Guest parking is a joke and they tow with impunity. Think twice!
