Lots of space, garden or highrise style units, small pets accepted, utilities included, very cheap for the area, not as bland as most big communities, no big deposits or outrageous feeds. Did I mentions LOTS of space'

So why didn't we rent here' According to one leasing consultant, they routinely don't know what openings they'll have until a week or two before they have them. Do they not require 30 days notice, or do they have frequent evictions' Either way, hard to plan a move around.

Here's what we saw on our tour:

Buildings seemed free of garbage and graffiti.

For the money, it seemed clean and well maintained.

The community seemed wonderfully diverse.

Leasing staff was very honest, not promising we would never see roaches or hear intrusive noise from neighbors.

The unit itself looked well-maintained, with a big kitchen and nice closet space.

The leasing consultant's first question was how many people planned to occupy. This told us that 1) tenants routinely hope to cram far too many people into units, and 2) management actively discourages this, as opposed to "don't ask, don't tell" buildings.

We did not see any loitering teens in the complex, but the complex is adjacent to a strip mall that appears to function as a major pick-up point for day laborers.

We were startled to see roaches in an empty, ready-to-rent, upper-floor unit.

I would be very nervous using laundry facilities. Actually, I probably wouldn't use them at all.

Parking looked very tight.

The "community seemed wonderfully diverse"???????? What planet are you on? I use to live in that rathole and I would like to see your feelings on the "wonderfully diverse community" when you get mugged or you have a run-in with the day workers that live there who congregate at 236 and Hummer Rd. (7-11), everyday!!!! Get a life and stop being so liberal, the community is going down the toilet because these people don't care, they are used to living in trife!!!!!
