True, the walls are very thin and the doors are even thinner. However, if you can get over that (which I did years ago), you'll enjoy one of the best apartment communities in the DC area. It has the rare combination of convenience (Metro, shops, highways), safety (never felt unsafe in the neighborhood at any time of the night), quality (excellent interior materials, including the cermaic tiled kitchens and full-sized washers and dryers) and a friendly and helpful staff (many of the front desk and management personnel have greeted me each day by name over the years and have been very helpful).

Other pluses include the cascading pool (not big, but the waterfall sound is great background noise if you have an apartment facing the pool), well-lighted parking garage and, perhaps, the best-looking women residents in the area!

I've lived in several Smith properties and others in the area and 2201 is, in my opinion, still the best around.
