Ancient Oaks

You will read a lot of complaints here on this board but the reality is, this apartment complex is always full and available apartments get snatched up fast. Why? Because its cheap! This complex is in an extremely safe neighborhood, right next to bus lines, bike paths (custis), and metro stations. Clarendon and Courthouse are a 10 min walk and grocery, convenience and gas stations are also within easy walking distance.

As for the bugs, I would agree you will see roaches once in awhile (less if you keep your apartment clean!) But as it is an old building, what else can you expect? These roaches are not the baby stealer's you see in Texas, they are small.

So if you dont mind a bug or two once in awhile, and you are a clean person that is looking for a large, cheap 1 bedroom apartment close to nice restaurants, shops and transportation, then you should consider Ancient Oaks.

P.S. For all those that complain about parking, stop. This apartment is a 5 min drive from or nations capital. YOU LIVE IN A LARGE METROPOLITAN AREA - PARKING IS GOING TO BE DIFFICULT EVERYWHERE. Try going without a car, you surely dont need one living here.
