I am really not sure what apartment complex these people are reviewing.

I am an original tenet of Lincoln Towers -- almost 14 years now, since Summer 1992. They have had problems (and continue to do so) with the water, which was a construction issue. Otherwise, I cannot agree with many of the comments posted here, and wish to respond to some of them:

In 14 years, I have never seen even a single roach.

In 14 years, I have not experienced any "smells."

Two people who regularly work the front desk (the evening and overnight shifts) are always nice -- even greeting me by name.

In 14 years, they have never lost a package of mine.

In 14 years, maintenance requests have been met fairly promptly and with a pleasant attitude -- and when a problem was not fixed, they were very apologetic and understanding in coming back to make sure it got fixed.

In 14 years, I have never had a problem with the heat or the AC.

When you leave your balcony door open, of course there is going to be noise -- traffic, construction, and the noise of any urbanized area. That is true for every apartment building in Ballston -- how is that Lincoln Tower's fault' And when the outside doors are closed, you can't hear all of that. If you don't like city living, move to the country!

In terms of internal noise, if I worked at home, I could easily do so. To read some reviews, you would think it was a loud, "dorm" atmosphere. Not so.
