Lincoln Towers - Not that bad

I have lived in Lincoln Towers for a year now on the 14th floor, and so far it has been pretty good. I am renewing my lease for another year.

I'll start with the good -
-Great location by metro, bars, restaurants, movie theater, jogging trails
-Building looks nice
-Parking - Always able to find a space.
-Maintenance Staff - always very fast and they have always fixed our problems correctly
-Pool is shallow, but it has plenty of chairs
-Gym - small but machines work well
-Clean - always see the cleaning staff around
-People - younger 20's/30's crowd mostly, very few children
-Cabs - there is a Hilton next door, so there are always cabs waiting outside when you need one
-Rent - seems relatively comparable to the neighboring apartment buildings, I couldn't find anything cheaper with the same amenities and location.
-Water - people seem to complain a lot on here about the water. I have never noticed a problem, and I actually have hot water within seconds of turning it on and the pressure is always really good, and I'm on the 14th floor. Not sure why some have good water pressure and some don't. Maybe check the showers when you're looking at renting here.

The not so good -
-Smell - like many people have said, the halls sometimes smell like trash. I have only really noticed it the past couple months, so I think it's just a summer thing. It's not THAT bad though.
-Staff - the front desk people are not the friendliest, but I don't go to them but for an occasional package so I rarely deal with them. They have never been rude, just not overly friendly.
-Garage - spaces are small and people park over the line a lot
-Gym - only 3 treadmills, one elliptical, some bikes, weight machines, and free weights crammed into a tiny room
-Elevators - they will sometimes forget what floor they are going to if there are a bunch people on there going to different floors. Basically if more than 3 floors are selected, after the 3rd person gets off, the rest of the floors will de-select and you'll go back down to the first floor and have to push your floor and go back up. If you know this, make sure after the 3rd person gets off, you quickly select your floor again and you'll be good to go. Quirky, but hey, could be worse.
-that recorded voice by the front door every time you swipe your key "welcome to lincoln towers..." Ok, not that bad, but a bit annoying :)

The negatives are not bad enough for me to want to move. The price is right and no place is going to be perfect. I can't see spending hundreds more a month just so I can have lemony fresh hallways and super nice receptionists and gigantic parking spaces.
