Great Location, Poor Management

I lived in Lincoln Towers for 1 year. The building is not friendly or sociable - people keep to themselves. The front desk staff and leasing office knows very little or nothing. The one person at the front desk will sometimes walk away for several minutes, not helping any guests. I agree with people who say the place is like a college dorm. Most of the people who live there are single 20-somethings. You will find beer cans on occasion in the hallways, and particularly in the public restrooms on the first floor after Ballston Common Block Parties. When I moved in, I found the sink flooded when the dishwasher was used and the blinds would not close. I was surprised these things were not handled before I moved in. You will also have to deal with pidgeons on the lower floors attempting to nest - and successfully pooping on your balcony. The windows on the building will NEVER be washed; there is no money in the budget for that. The building looks filthy on the outside. Moving out, I received a bill from LT in the mail with no explanation of how to pay it. However, I found the apartment to be comfortable, and the location to Ballston Metro station and the mall across the street should make the negatives of the building bearable for you. Ignore the vacuous 20-somethings if you are mature with a professional job.
