If you are interested in over price luxurious Section H living then this place for you. Since its inception, I have seen this place go downhill. The location is not safe for strolling in the evening, and I have many altercations with wanna be gang members that live a block away. There is always theft or vandalism or occasional pervert that roams the area that the police have done nothing about, nor Avalon for that matter.
The Staff at Avalon are rude and come off arrogant. They lack any type customer enthusiasm and are apathic to your needs.
The apartments are structure with poor material to do the point that I can hear my neighbors television.
Calling for service for your apartment is always entertaining you never get a timely response or the maintenance staff can't speak a word of English. The hallways, stairs, and garage are fifthly. I found beer cans, fast food wrappers, even used condoms!
The trash dumpster is constantly full, which leads to garbage being left on the side. This is fun to watch the parade of rats having their feast. Its a wonder to be charge for trash service.
Looking to get in shape, I have to admit that the gym is very well kept and you do meet some nice people on occasion. However, its frustrating to pay a yearly fee for the recreational center and non residents can walk in and use the facility. I have actually tested this and had my friend (non resident) come to use the facility for the past year and not once has he been asked for an ID.
