My fiance and I tried moving into "Our First Apartment" here. The primary reason was for the indoor basketball court, which he loved. I did see some roaches our first week, but quickly had the pest control come in and fix it.
Our biggest hassle was with the leasing office. Going in, we settled on a one-bedroom loft with vaulted ceilings. We set a move-in date for two full weeks - but the week we were to move in, they hadn't gotten it ready. Normally the turn-around time for an apartment is five business days, we well exceeded that. Plus, we both gave our previous landlords a move out date that couldn't be pushed back. So the gave us their guest suites to stay in till they got us ready. Again, a few days later they told us that our place wasn't ready and they would give us something else free. We asked for the party room since we were attempting to host a "moving-in" party on our move-in day. Needless to say, this continued and not only did we get a free guest room for a few nights but we also received the party room as well as money off our rent.
*If you can't tell we had other concerns too.
I was bringing a moving van in from Indiana and my mate was moving in from this area. The experience put a bad taint on the rest of our stay and we moved elsewhere quickly.
**By the way, to get any relief we had to go through Corporate, the staff at AAS did not try to offer us anything but apologies.

We feel your pain, and ditto to all plus many other issues in addition to those you have mentioned. We can only continue to educate the public just what a "rip-off" it is to live here. This place is truly a dump.... as for maintenance, forget it! They truly do not know what they are doing.... as for the rental staff, forget it!!!! Their number one concern is to "get you in, get the bucks and sign the contract!" All potentials should truly BEWARE!!!! A NIGHTMARE WAITING IN THE WINGS.... |
