It was my worst living experience in DC for the past 6 years. Avalon at Arlington Square is way overpirced for the sq ft they offer. Management is the most ignorant and unprofessional. Nobody cares about the tenants. In my apartment 2 kitchen cabinet doors fell off. I reported it to the management. It stayed broken for 4 month untill I moved out. Closed garage parking isn't safe at all. I had 2 accidents in 1 year- someone broke the window of my car and stole my belongings, and another time someone put a nail through my tire. Management told me they weren't responsible for anything that happenes in the CLOSED garage parking. They didn't even pretend to sympathize.
There's only one elevator in the garage that serves 6-7 buildings. So, if you live on the upper floors, or if you take your child out on a stroller, you have to walk all the way to the first floor. Because most of the time elevator is reserved by someone who's moving in or out.
After I moved out, they charged me big bucks for the carpet replacement. Although, at the time when I moved in, the carpet wasn't new, it was simply cleaned. But management insisted that my carpet was so stained (pure lie) they had to replace it all.
Anyway...my only advice- stay away from Avalon at Arlington Square. I didn't and wasted the whole year living in unpleseant conditions.
