okay, so here is my long winded review...
1. the day i moved in my fridge broke and all of my new food went bad. they never replaced the food and i waited two days for a new fridge. one year later, the outlet that the fridge was plugged into broke. it took three trips by maintenance to fix.
2. my toilet, ugh...i pay for my water and my toilet has been broken seven times in one year. it constantly runs. maintenance was called the first three times but never again. we fix it ourselves whenever it breaks. no reimbursement for water bill increases.
3. the cops have been there at least three times. once was when a guy broke into the model apt right below mine. now we received a notice of a burglary. great. the delivery people find a way in without a fob, so why couldn't a criminal' also, the garage door is always, always, always broken and you can sometimes see the shady people from down the street hiding off to the side waiting to come in and pick through the trash. the cars are always being broken into.
4. i have had an ant problem.
5. avalon is a corporation trying to manage nationwide properties. they are unsympathetic and hard to reach. the staff that they hire to work in the clubhouse are young girls, like 18, who are the dumbest people i have ever encountered. they know nothing. i asked for a copy of my lease and after 20 minutes they brought me a sheet of paper with nothing on it except my move-in date and rent payment.
6. anyone with dogs or planning on getting one...beware. dogs are ONLY allowed in apts that do not have carpeted hallways. this, they fail to tell you upon moving in.
overall, i have had nothing but problems with this company and their procedures for running the complex. i am moving out. the apt is beautiful though and the outside is nice, but it isnt worth the grief.
