I'm going to try to be fair here, especially since I just moved here in April. The Avalon is a nice property on the outside with nice amenities like covered parking and a nice fitness center. It's practically a gentrification project so the surrounding neighborhood isnt ideal but there are definitely worse places to live in the DC metro area. BUT THE WALLS IN THIS PLACE ARE PAPER THIN!!! I live on the first floor and the person above me sounds like the Incredible Hulk walking around! Their floors creak so loud sometimes it wakes me up at night or early in the morning. I can hear my neighbors next door talking if I'm quiet and I hear their TV often. I can hear the toilet flush from any apartment above me. If you scan these reviews you'll see this is the most consistent complaint (despite what they say in the office about the place meeting "standard construction requirements") so if you're looking for a quiet refuge or some solitude, avoid this place like the plague!!! Oh, I have bugs too. They're not outrageous I see a new one every 2-3 days. I won't be renewing my lease here when its up.

I've lived at Arlington Square more than once before and have never had bugs. If you people would keep your apartments clean, and don't leave food out, maybe you wouldn't have bugs! No thats a thought huh!
