I have lived at Avalon at Arlington Square for a few years. When I first moved here 3 1/2 years ago, management was excellent and attentive and I enjoyed living here. I am moving very soon however, because this complex has quickly gone down hill. Here are my main complaints:

1. The so-called "customer care manager" ---- is extremely rude and unhelpful. He seems very bothered if you ever go to him with a problem. He is reluctant to help you in any way that may require him to do work. His rudeness is my primary reason for leaving.

2. The Avalon company moved their headquarters to VA Beach about a year ago and since then I have had problems working out technicalities. For instance, one month they overcharged me $1800. It was very time consuming on my part to have it all straightened out because I had to work over the phone with Avalon reps in VA beach who never returned my calls. Very frustrating.

3. Vandalism. My car has been vandalized at least 5 times in the past 8 months. For the price I am paying to live and park here I would expect for my car to be more secure. My request to park in an adjacent lot was denied.

4. BUGS. Serious bug problems here. My leaky windows which were never fixed really exacerbated this problem.

5. Hassle to have visitors park.

Anyways, for the price you would pay to live here, I think you would be better off some place else.

when you say bugs, do you mean roaches? i am contemplating moving here.
