I've lived in this apartment for 10 months. While the layout is great, I have had new issues each and every month I'ved lived here.
1. The day I moved in the fridge couldn't get cold. They had to come and replace it. The fridge still to this day leaks water that I keep a container in the back to catch.
2. The hot water didn't work for the first three days, they came and fixed it. But the tanks are outside, so in the middle of winter if you want hot water you better run the dishwasher before you get into the shower since the water is not hot first thing in the morning.
3. The toilet would fill with black water, they have had to come back and fix this on two occasions.
4. The oven didn't work for the first two months I was here - after consistantly telling me that the "wire was not well connected" and "fixing it" 5 times, they replaced the oven.
5. I've had mice, ants, an infestation of flies from the patio/courtyard area, and seen cockroaches.
6. I'm in a garden apartment where the front door leads directly outside and the heat escapes in the worst way. Even after leaving the heat on all day, as soon as you turn it off the apartment is freezing cold again in an hour.
7. The carpet is so old that old stains from under the rug have reappeared that I've then had to clean.
8. The kitchen tiles are starting to come up under my feet. If I turn on the heals of my foot, they come right up.
Any one of these issues and I might be okay. But in 10 months to have all of these problems - I'm moving out. This whole place is a lemon.
All of the below posts are correct - the garage doors don't work, but they do send around friendly reminders that you shouldn't keep things in your car since there have been so many break-ins. Maybe if the garage doors could work...
The garbage is always backed up. People leave garbage in the room because it doesn't fit into the shoot. When I was in there the other day the whole room had filled with water and on a 90 degree day it was terrible.
So, best of luck if you want to move in. But as of the fall, I'm moving out.
