I have lived here at barcroft since febuary 05, and this is by far the worst apartment complex i have ever lived in. I have had the exterminator come numerous times and still have roaches. I am not a dirty person, and keep my place clean, yet still have tons of bugs. I have had my bathroom walls re done at least 4 times, due to water damage, and the roof caved in once. all they do is replace the sheet rock, they dont fix the pipes which is the problem. My rent has gone up 3 times in the last six months. The laundry facilities are broke half the time. The parking isnt very good. overall i would deffinately recomend ANYWHERE else to live!!!

I agree with you. I used to live there. In my basement the floors and the ceilings leaked. I had the same roach problem. I moved out in January. My only suggestion is not to move to Columbia Park, which is right near Barcroft. It's nicer, but it is incredibly loud, and no matter what I do, none of my neighbors care. And some are just as bad as Barcroft and I see roaches in the hall. You have the money, quit being cheap and just pay for the quality you deserve.

I also agree. I lived there for 5 years and had the same water issues in my bathroom. All they did was replaster and never fixed the pipes. That is their philosophy though, and any long term resident will confirm it: Do just enough to keep the places going. Delashmut (the owners) are more or less slum lords. They also raised my rent many times in 5 years.

The place is a dump. Just before I could get out. my car was totaled by a drunk driver on Geo Mason Dr right in front of my apt. I couldn't park off street because there weren't any spaces empty. Place needs landscaping and new sod and major upgrades of kitchen and bathrooms - Probably not going to happen. very dismal and dark at night. They say arlington doesn't have the "projects". Overcrowding is rampant and management does not give a flying rat's arse. If you don't like it you'll have to move out. Any discounts they give aren't worth the nasty conditions and the out of control discourteous tenants.
