What you pay for at The Bennington is location. The location is great, just two blocks to the Pentagon City Metro. However, with that said, the only thing you pay for with this apartment is location. I have had many unsatisfying encounters with the management in this building. The current management has been here longer than the average term; there have been three sets of management staff in the year I've lived here. The management is very unresponsive, no matter what the request, I can't even get them to respond even when it relates to paying this month's rent (I would assume they would want to make money). Besides the poor management, my biggest complaint is the lack of hot water. It seems to be a seasonal problem, whereby I often do not have hot water in the mornings during the winter. It is only November and has been warm and yet it has started already this year. Some mornings I have zero hot water in my apartment. The only other plus to this apartment is the maintenance staff, they are great and very responsive. Overall, I would give the apartment mixed reviews. Great location, decent apartment, good maintenance, but poor management and no hot water.
