My husband and I just moved in two weeks ago, and I can't say that I've got any issues with the place. We have a 2 br (well, 1 br den) 2 ba apt, and though the rent's higher than what we were paying in Fairfax, he can walk two blocks to work, and I can take the shuttle to the subway so I can get to my job downtown. The unit we have is remodeled - I love my HUGE kitchen, and it's all white, which is great...especially the tile; the bathrooms are great with the white cabinents and tile. I can't say I've noticed anything yet about the heat/AC since I've had the windows open the entire time I've been here - temp's been just right and I like it cool at night. My husband and I shower at the same time each morning, and the hot water is superb. I simply can not say enough about the amazing amount of closet space we have - we had a lot of crap at our other apt, and even after throwing a bunch out we were concerned about where we were going to put it all - we still have two closets almost empty. It's very quiet there. Our cats love the place too :)
The are two things that slightly irk me are the fact that it's been two weeks and my new blinds aren't in yet (they said the previous owner had problems with them, so they were ordering replacement ones which would take no more than a week to get here), and the fact that we didn't get any instructions with our washer/dryer - we called the desk because I don't quite understand our Swedish system, and my husband was told by the person that she had no clue what he was talking about- he came upstairs and found them on the internet so things are fine (I'll stop putting bleach in the fabric softener slot hehehehe).
I have been very pleased with the staff - everyone's been terrific. The rent's a bit high ($1700 for us and the pet rent plus the 1 space for our car - we figured we don't need two since he's only going two blocks and we can walk to the subway if we need to go someplace while the other has the car), but in the end we are saving money from not paying for a parking space at my office and the $50 a week in gas that we were spending.

Written exactly like someone I knew very well in the front office. Aka a "certain" leasing agent. How do you sleep at night trying to pass yourself off as a tenant? Pathetic.

I am not a leasing agent. I lived in Fairfax at an Archstone Property prior to this. I work in DC at George Washington University, and have for 18 months.
Thanks for calling me pathetic when you don't even know me.

I know you...very well. You're a leasing agent, and I know which one. Do you really want me to post your name here? Huh? Didn't think so. Do your job instead of trolling here 24-7. And yes...you ARE pathetic.
