I am really enjoying living at Crystal Square Apartments. The community amenities are great, including the pool, fitness center, business center, and free coffee in the lobby. Additionally, the building itself is connected to the Crystal City Shops (with its many stores and restaurants) and the Metro (it s a really quick ride into DC). The new management company, Bainbridge, is very responsive to residents needs. The staff members are courteous, competent, and very helpful to the residents in the community. I am living in one of the newly renovated apartments. It is absolutely beautiful with the stainless steel appliances and updated kitchen and bathroom, and it includes everything I need (including a microwave and washer/dryer unit in my apartment). The unit itself is also very spacious. I would recommend Crystal Square to anyone looking for a really nice and conveniently located place to live.

Clearly there are some people who just refuse to be fair about Crystal Square. I have lived here for two years, and have found the new management very responsive, and most of them very friendly. Just had some maintenance done in less than 24 hours by telling the front desk. The pool is not "broken" but the deck is being resurfaced and all the recent rain delayed it. Most of the current problems(elevators, e.g.) are the result of a flood from pipes which were also causing problems for Smith when they owned it, not to mention that we were missing some elevators all of the year before while they were being replaced by the previous owners. Crystal Square is, as the reviewer said, a very nice place which my wife and love.

I can tell you just moved in. Wait a bit and you may feel compelled to post a totally different review. I live there for 18 months now and the new management is ANYTHING BUT responsive and ANYTHING BUT competent.

Just moved in? No, this review is a Bainbridge plant--is that -------------------? This isn't the place to advertise. Also, the pool is broken (like the elevators), so I don't see how you're enjoying it.

These guys are willing to deface sides of buildings with massive ads begging for people to live there - pissing off current tenants and making their own building look like an eye sore - I wouldn't put it past them to be spamming this site trying to get people to live here.
