I lived at this place for less than two months. The leasing officers lie, there is mold or mildew all over the a/c units, and worst of all: there is MAJOR CONSTRUCTION HEARD ALL THROUGHOUT THE APARTMENT BUILDING. You can't escape it, and it's going to last for three years. People are moving out because of it. Thankfully I barely unpacked.

Coupled with an armed robbery in the North Tower recently, and I was convinced that this place is not for me.

Don't believe the leasing officers -- they lie about construction and they lie about apartment logistics.

If you don't believe me: stop by this place any WEEKDAY after 9 AM and before 3-5 PM and walk down any corridor; you will hear extremely loud construction. They're doing all units ending in -5 and -10 right now (but you hear it VERY clearly from at least 10 apts away), AND they'll start up on the -30 end too, so there is literally no apt. to live in that won't have pounding noise.

The only person I would not absolutely dissuade from moving here would be someone who is guaranteed not to be in the apt. from 9-5, and won't have guests/kids/pets in the apt. during that time every weekday. Otherwise: stay away; the noise really is that unbearable.

Again, visit on a WEEKDAY; there is no construction on weekends.

thankfully we on on the back side of the south tower and hear nothing but are scheduled for the same cement repairs in late 2007, when it is done, the job is secure, looks nice and is safer. By the way have you heard Bernard the previous manager is "locked Up" and that was trouble? Wonder what all he got into??

Crystal Towers did NOT have a building permit previous to February 2007...Therefore the work done previously was not authorized. This is significant as the work requires the contractors to have ASBESTOS ABATEMENT authorization
