I absolutely loved my experience at Crystal Towers. The resident concierges are so outgoing and friendly. The management is warm and friendly. I remember the first time I walked in, I felt like I was walking into a 5 star hotel. Whenever I had a problem, I just used there awesome resident webpage to put any problem in the apartment...and from my experience have it done the next day - the maintenance team is fantastic! Its many people in the DC area that may need a fixing!

This post is ludicrous. In fact it sounds as if a member of the building management team is behind it because it is absolutely contradictory to reality in every way. The management convey their sensibilities (lack of customer service concern) to the staff, who in turn, save one or two individuals, are slovenly and sullen. The noise and concrete dust are atrocious - jack hammering all day long and balconies, shut off = things stored on balconies unceremoniously removed and "placed" in a storage room - together with everyone elses's things, not even in separate bins! Flooding, dirty floors, unpainted doors, sloth-like staff, and an air of transient anger all converge to create an atmosphere of vile, dog-eat-dog stone-age style regression. The building reeks of garbage on every floor. By the way, if you are thinking of moving here, make sure to come by on a weekday between 9 and 5 and get a load of the noise and concrete dust from the construction. Oh, and the freight elevator for moving in? forget about it - although you are made to go through the motions of "reserving" it for your move in, the reality is that there is no key to lock it - and whoever has it can use it for as long as they like whether you have reservations or not - plan on paying your moving company at least double.

Well the only thing i can say to Anonymous is you have never owned a house, because anyone in the right mind, knows that after 30 years, you better do the repairs or the cement cracking will only become worse and eventually crumble. What kind of a ceremony did you want or need to remove a few things from your balcony to storage. Your comments are honestly so stupid they reflect your very limited insight. I do not work for this company, but I certainly have more respect for the place and the staff trying to work here and do their best. Our service in this apt has been excellent prompt and done well - where else would you pay $27 a month for electric to run everything in a 2 bedroom/2bath apt?
I have a friend with a HOUSE in MD, electric bill in June was $158. for two people.... Get over it, and if you are so unhappy, move along..!

I would have to disagree with the argument that this apartment building is some sort of palace. Regardless of the construction going on, really the staff and management at this building in particular, are really bad. I think its a reflection of their arrogance, because they dont really need new to go above and beyond, because their location is such being close to metro, they will always have tenants. I was very happy to transfer out of that place, to another Charles Smith apartment building nearby. The staff in the leasing office and management team are pretty good at Crystal Plaza, however the front desk staff there is rood as well. Not as bad as Crystal Towers though .....

Management is HORRIBLE. A certain Asian lady manager (whose name I shall not include to save her some dignity) made me CRY when I spent 45 minutes driving around looking for a parking space at 4pm and missed my flight out of town for the weekend to see my parents because all of the building spots were filled with the cars of the construction guys working on the already 2 year slab project! Her response to the parking problem? "Why don't you pay $50 for a garage space?" Well, because 1) I am surviving on a Congressional staffer's meager salary so I can't afford additional expenses like that, and 2) I don't want to pay for parking spaces that I already get for free (and didn't use to have trouble finding). Once again, the tactful manager says "It's not my problem you can't afford to live here." WOW. Moved into Crystal Towers in September 2005 and things were great. Have slowly seen this place sink in quality and service.
