i've lived in this building for 4 years or so, and it's really not that bad. i had dirty neighbors that caused a bug problem, but they had pest control in my apartment very quickly. finally the made my neighbor clean her apartment.

parking is not an issue with a pass, but they limit the number of visitor passes they issue in a day. you call the office to reserve a pass to pick up later, but only same-day. street parking is limited, so have people over at the last minute can sometimes be a problem.

the location is great -- there are many good restaurants up the street, it's close to malls and shopping, and is on a main bus line to the metro.

management is pleasant and friendly as long as you are the same. my neighbors that have problems with them only have problems because they themselves are demanding and rude.

sometimes the water is off during the day, but it's because they're upgrading the plumbing, not because there are problems. They are really making an effort to spiff up the place (including a new small-but-useful gym). the pool is well-kept and clean during the summer as well.

the grounds are well-lit, and the doors are secured with a new system, and i feel safe living here.

bottom line is that the building is overpriced for what it is, but no more than other apartments in the DC area. it's definitely liveable, but not luxury. odusyNYCcZ7yL3Bj5JtG

The front door is secure, but the back door by the garbage in the basement is always open. 24/7!!! The new management is not consumer oriented. It takes days to fix something.
