Only for the desperate

This place is far and away the worst building I've ever lived in, including some of the dumps I lived in in college. The place was never that great, but it's going downhill rapidly. The apartment itself is nice enough, and it's a decent location, but the drawbacks are numerous:
The building is noisy--not the tenants, the building itself. You will know exactly when your neighbors are showering or flushing the toilet because the pipes wail. Also, they're doing seemingly endless "maintenance" on the pipes and turn the water off frequently. When they turn the water back on, the heating units gurgle. It sounds like someone's taking a leak in your bedroom. The problem lasts for days and nights on end, even after complaints to the clueless management. It's an easy (and entirely avoidable) problem to fix, but they just don't care.
Security is a joke. The doors are either propped open or don't lock at all.
No one does any housekeeping. The halls haven't been vacuumed in months. There's a clump of hair that's been sitting outside my door for weeks now, and a wad of gum has been on the elevator walls for eons. There's graffiti in the elevators, too. Not that you'll notice, because the elevators break down all the time. The walls are dirty, and try not to think about the carpet. It's stomach-turning.
Parking is chancy if you're looking for a spot after 7pm. Don't even bother trying to get a guest parking pass. You'd think those things were solid gold, they're so hard to get. Tell your guests to park on the street. Actually, don't worry about that too much. You'll be too embarrassed to have guests over.
