A Nice Place

I've lived here 2 years and everything has gone smoothly. If we have maintenance issues they are taken care of pretty quickly. The staff is extremely friendly. It used to be true that it took a while to turn on the Heat and/or AC but my AC is on and running great already and it's late April so that's better now. The only place I have ever seen bugs is in the trash room which isn't a huge shock. You can hear your neighbors through the bathroom vent which is kind of odd but you can't hear them from your actual apt. Parking is fine there is always a spot and they have no problem giving out guest passes. For the price in the area it's probably the best you'll do (I know b/c we were looking for something cheaper which is why i'm on this site and the cheaper stuff always says it's dirty and unsafe). Oh yeah i've never had any safety issues either and i keep odd hours because of work and school.

I'll grant that the staff is friendly. They do smile while they ignore your service requests. And hey, what's a few weeks each May and September of stifling, muggy Virginia heat? What I love about this review is the claim that it's gotta be a good buy because the cheaper stuff is said to be dirty or unsafe on this site. I'm moving this summer across the street, where the building is cleaner and I'll save $200 a month.

I don't completely disagree with this reviewer. However, the friendly staff has recently been mostly replaced with some extremely rude scumbags. The worst of them is this lady named Monisa Brown. She is quite possibly the rudest, most unprofessional piece of trash I've ever met in my life. Yesterday I witnessed her berate a tennant for apparently no reason. That tennant clearly did not speak much english. I've had numerous run-ins with this person, in which case she was completely rude and inconsiderate. In my most recent run-in with her she flat lied to my face about not having something and refused to check. She did this with two potential renters, who promptly left, deciding not to rent. This employee is a scumbag and frankly is a perfect representative of how the JBG company is performing.
The only two employees in the company that are worth anything are Christine (the assistant manager) and Jessica (leasing consultant), who are both very friendly and go out of their way to help tennants as much as possible. I really feel sorry for the both of them and hope they search out and find better jobs. Their co-workers, especially Monisa Brown, are ghetto trash and frankly, if they ever worked for me would be fired, immediately, on-the-spot.
