I have been living at this apartment building for a few years. I thought the new owners JBG would improve the building. Initially, they made cosmetic changes and there was a sign of hope. However, within the last year, the cosmetic changes have faded away. Management is indifferent to your complaints. Significant rent increases are hefty for this old building. They rent to anyone with a heart beat. Renters leave garbage in the garbage room instead of putting it down the shoot. Urine smells from the stairways on occasions. Some of management's policies do not make sense. For instance, the leasing office only issues 4 parking passes per day for a building with 300 units. The parking lot has plenty of spaces at night but the policy still remains. So if you plan on having guests park, forget about it. There is no parking on the street. Another problem is that there are many apartments with multiple adults living in them. Strange people come and go like a cheap hotel. This place wasn't a bad place to live but has become a zoo.
