Before I start this review, I would like to state that I never lived in these apartments because of the way I was treated by management and what to me seemed like a scam.

After we were told that our application had been accepted for an apartment, we were told we needed to give management a check to the amount of half the rent for a security deposit. My future roommates and I had no problems giving the money, but we were told that we were not signing the lease at the time of the money changing hands. When I asked to see a copy of the future lease, I was told they could not fax it to me.

Once I finally was able to get a copy I pointed out to management there were a few items that were not covered in the lease. Management's commitment to paying for utilities is not present anywhere in the lease. When I explained to management that according to section 4 of their lease, which says "security deposit is due at time of the signing of the lease" and not before was a violation. The response was that I was "too technical" and they "didn't need to follow" what was in the lease.

My roommates and I decided to withdraw from living at Fort Strong Apartments because we did not feel comfortable giving a money order or cashiers check to management without signing any document that said we were guaranteed a place. The rudeness of management was completely unprofessional.
