Not worth the price

Years at this apartment: 2003 - 2004
I have lived here for almost a year, and the apartments continue to decline. When visiting, please note the torn chairs in the business center, and if the computers are even all up and running. There used to be free coffee available -- standard in luxury apts in DC -- but management removed it and made it available only to potential renters. The fitness center is small, and the "cardio Theater" has NEVER worked since I've been here. Sure, when you take a tour it LOOKS like it works, but it doesn't. So, when you work out you'll have two different TVs on tuned and blaring at two different stations. The elevators aren't always working properly, and often only one elevator will be running ; you'll wait ten minutes to get to your floor! The concierege during the day is fine; but the night time "concierge" are temporary and often rude, with no idea about the apartment -- definitely not "concierge", but only night watchmen who don't spend too much time at the front desk anyway. You don't pay for your own water, even though that's what the lease say. You pay a portion of EVERYONE'S water, based on the square footage of your aparatment, including an additional monthly handling "fee". In short, there are no amenities worth anything that are acceptable, the management doesn't have an interest in treating you kindly once you rent, and it is very, very OVERPRICED. you will get better value for your money elsewhere; here, you are a only a rent check, not a resident.
