As a Foregn Service Employee, I have stayed in dozens of places in the DC area. This place is like a sawdust cake covered with icing. Funny they won't show you the apartment before you move in but threaten to show it before you move out. Mine was over the garage and by the pool. In spite of my request for assistance I was ignored and had to live there and listen day and through the night to every car go over the speed bumps for 4 months. I paid for the 5th month and moved out and left it vacant for a month while I paid rent. They said they were sorry and gave me a cash gift card for a couple of hundred after paying over $2,500 for a 1 bedroom. By the way could never raise my blinds because the dog walkers looked in constantly. Other complaints,
it takes forever for the water to get hot (no circulation pipes), poorly insulated, high utilities which you also pay, noisy trash compactor and compressor, rude male manager, overpriced, cold hallways, noise from jet traffic and local construction. Let the renter beware in spite of the great reviews!
