Nice Place, A Few Problems, And Expensive

I moved in in November 2003, and am about to move out. The building is sleek and new, with a good workout room facing DC, a great club room, and a small rooftop pool, and the location is excellent: the Virginia Square Metro is steps away out the back door.
Because the building is new, a few settling cracks can appear, but the maintenance people will fix them if they do. The staff has been courteous and friendly, both before and after the Charles E. Smith takeover.
In general, I think that takeover has been bad for the building. There was a great staff of friendly people who knew the residents and who were not given the option to stay on. Also, guest parking passes, which used to be free and available for up to 3 days, are now $5 per day and for 24 hours only. Nothing huge, but certainly not positive.
The windows and sliding door are unfortunately drafty, so I keep my blinds closed for a large part of the winter.
The biggest problem I have with the place is the price; I moved in on 2 months free for a 14 month lease, but between the loss of those free months and the hike of the base rate, it's just more than I feel it's worth, for an area with so little nightlife near it.
