When moving to Arlington, I spent weeks looking at the many apartments listed on Craig's List. Basement apartments in Georgetown were small one room places that lacked total privacy, had loads of rules, but asked high rent prices. Many of the apartments in Arlington were luxury high rises that I could not afford. Riverplace was affordable, but has a terrible reputation for bugs, carpet beetles, and terrible service from maintenance (check all the online posts).
THEN I FOUND MARBELLA! It was the last apartment to view that day: clean, spacious, multiple windows with light, and affordable rents. Includes parking, a laundry room, and utilities (everything except electric, phone, and cable). Doesn't have the amenities of high priced luxury apartments (no gym; no granite countertop; no stainless steel appliances, and no pets), but who needs all that anyway'
Can replace the gym with runs around beautiful Iwo Jima park (two blocks away). SAFE location is a few blocks from the police station, while also juxtaposed with Fort Myer (the army base a block away). NEIGHBORS at Marbella are polite, quiet, working individuals. Children are quiet and well behaved.
AND THE BEST PART: the staff. Always pleasant, smiling, and helpful. Service problems are corrected within days. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND Marbella Apartments on North Queen (Arlington, Virginia). vWhRVi5nYYIuEh4W7K3l
