As a long-time resident of the Meridian, I am here for the location and my own laziness in moving. But I am frequently reminded of just how bad this place is in terms of providing services (just basic stuff -- like working A/C, or keeping trash from smelling up the hallways). To put it simply, the management office alternates between being hostile towards the tenants, or somewhat pleasant but incompetent. The front desk personnel are highly untrained, provide no security and often are not around to accept mail/packages or sell visitor parking passes. They, and the answering service, seem to be told that at no cost should management be called in off-hours -- tenants should fend for themselves, and call the police or fire dept. to fix any issues after about 5 p.m. And despite the stated policy that A/C will be fixed immediately if the temp. is 80 degrees or above -- this is often not followed through ...I am aware of many cases where tenants are left stranded and told its "too late in the day" to do something about repairs. Another frequent problem -- the 'fob' security keys that provide access throughout the building malfunction often -- leading to either doors propped open all day, or the opposite problem of being locked out of the building or garage with no recourse except to wait for a passerby to let you in.

I should say that the cleaning staff is exceptionally hard working and do what they can to maintain the premises. But the management, and some of the maintenance staff can have terrible attitudes towards customer service...always surprising given the high rental prices. We are 'nickel and dimed' with added costs and new rules (most recently, most of the street parking and all visitor spaces have been removed from use...and they have added pool fees and required pool passes for the first time ever!) Turnover is high here, and there are plenty of reasons why!
