Zippy character or ambience but a cheap place to live for a year

Years at this apartment: 2005 - 2006
I lived in this building for about a year and a half in a 1BR sunroom. I actually found maintence to be responsive and the front desk staff to be pleasant. The noise in may apartment seemed to come from the hallway, not from my next door neighbors. I thought the leasing office was alright, but I absolutely agree with previous posters that if you stay past your initial lease, they jack up the rent way beyond the unit's value. Only inertia kept me from moving once the lease was up. I went month to month for quite some time, at a rent increase of almost $200 per month.
My primary complaint is that the apartments are really cookie-cutter, though frankly that's a problems with most neighborhood buildings. The amenities are nice and they maintain the grounds well.
Loved (and miss) the indoor parking.
