Worst Apartment Complex Ever!

For the price that you pay (try $1550 for a studio not counting utilities or parking), one would think you would get quality staff and not have ridiculous charges constantly placed. For one, they are ALWAYS doing work on everything and will block off entire floors for days. They also have a severe bug problem -- but you'd have to beg tooth and nail to get an exterminator. The staff is the worst... absolutely disgusting and unhelpful. They will close early, hang up on you when you're locked out and do everything in their power to be rude and condesending to you. I moved out 2 months early just to get away from them! Charges you might expect -- $40 to pay online each month you opt to do so, $75 per large piece you want disposed of (even though Arlington County doesn't charge them and YOU are responsible for bring the item down). $20 for a guest pool pass. $50 for parking. Some weird submetering charge each month that will go up higher and higher each month without any explanation (bldg says go through company. Company says go through bldg). You'll also pay $100 for a lost key fob or parking decal. The fob cost $15 to replace in my new condo... same fob... and the parking decal, same material, at Gold's costs $10. So... The door people are nice but constantly on the phone or away from the desks. The day I was set to move into the apartment my keys weren't ready, and yet I still had to pay rent for the next couple days. Luckily, I was not using movers until 5 days later. On the day of my move-in, the "guy" with the keys to the freight elevator and loading dock was "running late" and I had to pay my movers an extra hour. --------- at the front desk in Phase 1 is a moronic egoist who will do everything he can to prevent you from speaking to management. I will stop now. The point is DO NOT LIVE THERE.

I have lived in many apartments in the last 10 years in Boston, NYC and D.C./ Virginia. I have never in my life encountered such poor management and a rip off. I would say that this place should be investigated by the Better Business Bureau.
